Here are 10 subtle signs that could save your life .
Your eyes and skin are yellow (3/12)
Yellowing of the whites of the eyes and skin is never a good sign .
It can be a symptom of:
- alcoholism
- liver failure
- r pancreatic cance
Explanation: Many pancreatic tumors occur in the head of the pancreas, near the bile ducts.
Even a small tumor can block the bile duct, preventing bile from flushing out bilirubin, a waste product of red blood cells.
Result: Bilirubin buildup → jaundice and yellowing of the eyes.
You look like you’re 4 months pregnant (4/12).
A bloated belly after eating is normal. But if it lasts for several days, be careful!
“As pancreatic tumors grow, they can cause abdominal distension,” explains Dr. Bilchik.
It’s often one of the first signs, but it’s rarely taken seriously.
Get checked out: it’s probably not cancer, but it can happen.
Prevention is better than cure!
Even your favorite dessert makes you want to throw up (5/12)
Loss of appetite is an early symptom of pancreatic cancer.
When tumors develop in the abdomen, they put pressure on the stomach and cause:
- feeling of fullness quickly
- frequent nausea
- and even pain when digesting.
Unintentional weight loss (6/12)
This loss of appetite often leads to rapid and unexplained weight loss .
Generally, this involves a decrease of more than 5% of body weight in 6 to 12 months.
If you cannot explain this weight loss, consult a doctor immediately .
Your lower back hurts terribly (7/12)
A pancreatic tumor can put pressure on the spine and lumbar muscles, causing a constant, dull ache.
Many women attribute these pains to premenstrual syndrome or muscle strain.
But if the pain doesn’t go away after your period or rest, have it checked out without delay
